Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Sunshine List

The number of employees earning more than $100,000 at Chatham-Kent's hospitals went down slightly in 2016.

There were 61 names on list last year, compared to 62 in 2015.

Once again, two high profile executives were among the top earners. Former CKHA President and Chief Executive Officer Colin Patey took in a little over $290,000 in 2016 while former Chief Operating Officer Sarah Padfield earned just under $184,000.

Patey was let go in September -- shortly after supervisor Rob Devitt took over operations at the CKHA. Padfield was released in the fall after her position was eliminated by the new leadership including interim CEO Ken Deane.

A release from the CKHA points out that the threshold for the public salary disclosure has not changed since it was introduced in 1997, adding that it hasn't been adjusted for inflation.

Aside from the CKHA, there were five other physicians working for the Chatham-Kent Community Health Centre (CKCHC) who made the "Sunshine List."

Dr. Vishal Chawla made the most money of those five, taking in a little over $362,000 last year. Dr. David Lapierre was the next highest earner at just under $200,000.

Dr. Paterno Serezo, Dr. Taylor Johnson, and Dr. David Sullivan round out the list for the CKCHC.
