Assault On City Bus Leads To Charges

A 50-year-old Windsor man faces multiple charges including assault with a weapon after an altercation on a city bus.

Police responded to a call on Drouillard Rd. at Seminole St. around 8:45pm on Saturday to find a man laying beside the bus with a serious head injury.

Investigators say the man had been causing a disturbance on the bus and was using foul language while approaching the bus driver.

A 20-year-old then stepped between the accused and the driver and the altercation turned physical.

Police allege that the 50-year-old man pulled out a knife during the fight and was pushed out of the bus before falling and hurting his head.

The 20-year-old was arrested but has since been released. He is not facing any charges.
