Do Your Kids Play Roblox?

The Canadian Centre for Child Protection is warning parents about sexually explicit messages being sent to kids on the popular gaming app Roblox.

Signy Arnason, director of Cybertip.ca, says they've received a handful of reports about lewd conversations being initiated on the game's chat feature, and even requests to meet children in person.

Parents are now being urged to explore the app first.

"Any type of app or site that allows for chat messaging, your kids are being opened up to things," she says. "I think it's important to check out all those areas where that vulnerability may exist, to see what type of controls can be placed over the account."

Arnason adds the risks increase anytime players can interact with other users.

"In this particular case, this gaming environment has over 44-million active users," says Arnason. "A certain portion of those are obviously going to be adults."
