Chatham-Kent's population shrank over the past five years while Windsor's grew.
According to data from the 2016 Census, which was released by Statistics Canada on Wednesday, Chatham-Kent's population dropped 2% from 2011 to 2016, falling from 103,671 residents to 101,647.
Windsor grew by 3% from 210,891 in 2011 to 217,188 in 2016.
Provincially, Ontario's population grew from 12,851,821 to 13,448,494 -- marking a 4.6% increase from 2011 to 2016.
Nationally, Canada's population rose an even 5%, going from 33,476,688 in 2011 to 35,151,728 in 2016.
Nunavut had the highest growth rate of any of the provinces or territories (+12.7%) while Alberta was close behind (+11.6%).
