Maroons Defeat Nationals 3-1

The Chatham Maroons topped the London Nationals 3-1 on Wednesday for their fourth straight win.

Bryce Yetman kicked off the game with a goal 8:50 into the first period to give Chatham a 1-0 lead.

After a scoreless second frame, Jaimen Allison scored for London just under two minutes into the third to tie the game. However, Teddy McGeen scored twice for the Maroons in the final three minutes of the game to earn Chatham the win.

McGeen says his team started off a little slow in the first period, but bounced back after Allison's goal.

"It's always a good game playing London, they're a top team in the league," he says. "It's always fun to play against them,. It's usually a little bit higher pace than most of our games, and I feel like it's a good opportunity for players in the league to show what they're made of."

The Nationals will battle the Stars in St. Thomas on Friday at 7:30pm. And then on Sunday, the Maroons are on home ice to take on the Leamington Flyers at 7pm.
