Wish Tree Campaign Raises $101K

The 27th Annual Christmas Wish Tree campaign at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) shone especially bright this year.

The trees in Chatham and Wallaceburg were decorated with more than 1,000 gold, silver and blue lights in December as the event surpassed its $100,000 goal -- raising $101,000 for the hospital's Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign.

That brings the campaign's fundraising total to $4.3-million of its $6.9-million goal.

"We are grateful for the community support towards this year's Christmas Wish Tree," said Candice Jeffrey with the Foundation of the CKHA in a release. "Every contribution to this year's Christmas Wish Tree Appeal will bring us one step closer to reaching our fundraising goal for the CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign and to bringing new, urgently needed, diagnostic imaging equipment to our local hospitals."

The Christmas Wish Tree lighting ceremonies were held on December 15, 2016 at the Chatham and Sydenham Campuses.
