St Clair College Gets New Investment

St. Clair College landed a huge investment January 9.

The college says a total of $7.8-million will create jobs, expand research and foster innovation. There are two projects in Chatham and Windsor.

In Chatham, students will get a 10,000 sq ft addition to the National Powerline Training Centre for skilled trades and technology education, which are in high demand.

The second project in Windsor is to repair and enhance facilities.

The $7.8-million will be shared by the federal and provincial governments and the college.

There are 150 students in the Chatham program.

Chatham-Kent Mayor Randy Hope hopes the program can attract foreign investment.

College President Patti France says this investment is critical to the well-being of this region, province, and the nation.
