Exotic Bird Still Missing

Two of three exotic birds taken from an aviary in Blenheim have been located, but one is still missing.

Chatham-Kent Police Services say the two birds were found in their cages, abandoned on Indian Creek Rd. in Chatham.

The exotic birds had been missing since December 3, after an unknown suspect broke into an aviary on Front Line in Blenheim.

The birds - a 10-year-old white male Umbrella Cockatoo, a red and green Redfront Macaw, and a white and orange White Bellied Caique - are valued at $8,000.

The two birds found are both healthy and have been returned to their owner.

Anyone with information regarding the third bird is asked to contact Constable Nicole Bechard at nicolebe@chatham-kent.ca or 519-436-6600 ext. 87057.
