Oak Barrel Sees Expanding Customers On Horizon

While Brian Anderson hopes to garner customers from London Sarnia and Windsor, he says his company Oak Barrel Cabinetry is looking to foster growth in Chatham for now.

"We're still trying to grow our base here, but we see every month we get more interest from the outside. There are certainly markets out there that we can tap into, but we've been very lucky that the bulk of our work has been in Chatham-Kent," says Anderson.

Anderson set up Oak Barrel Cabinetry in 2014, just off Richmond St. He and some of his employees had previously opened up another facility six years ago, but the Chatham native says he's happy to return home.

The business offers the design, construction and installation of custom cabinets.

"Definitely custom is the key word," says Anderson. We'd rather take something and fit it to a space rather than just try and make something work like a lot of other companies will do. Just really take the time you get exactly what you want and everyone's happy at the end of the day."

Oak Barrel was recently named Chatham-Kent's "Business of the Month" for November.
