Goodfellows Welcome Union Gas Contribution

One of the Chatham Goodfellows' biggest donors is well on its way to making another big contribution this year.

While Union Gas officially launched their campaign Thursday, company rep Angela Scott says they have already raised over $13,000 for the charity.

"Chatham is in need, the need continues to grow, and we're just hoping to make someone's Christmas a little brighter," says Scott.

Last year, Union Gas raised over $27,000 to help get needy families food and toys for Christmas. Scott says they raise the funds through bake sales, gift basket raffles, and jersey days at the head office. Goodfellows Toy Chair Rose Peseski is always taken aback by how helpful Union Gas is.

"They've always been there whenever we needed them, we've never had to ask," says Peseski. "They've been just amazing family members in everything they do. Even during the year they talk to us and ask us if we need anything."

The Goodfellows' Porchlight campaign is set for December 5 -- donations will be distributed on December 20.
