CKHA Eliminates COO Position

Sarah Padfield is the latest administrator to leave the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, following a leadership restructuring from the alliance's CEO.

The CKHA's Interim President and CEO Ken Deane has announced the removal of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) position, which means COO Sarah Padfield is no longer with the organization. In a release, Deane says it's part of a new operating structure that "better aligns leadership portfolios with CKHA's key priorities."

This comes just over a month after the CKHA's former CEO Colin Patey left the organization.

CKHA officials have also confirmed Chief of Medical Staff Dr. Ranjith Chandrasena is resigning. They say Chandrasena will continue to serve in his role until a replacement is found.

There will be some further shuffling of positions and roles at the health alliance. Current Employee Services & Labour Relations Director Debbie Ancocik has been named Vice President. She'll be in charge of human resources, occupational health and safety, partnerships and system integration. They'll also be recruiting a new VP in charge of finance, decision support, hospital information management, and operations.

CKHA officials add Willie Kirenko will continue serving as vice president and chief nursing executive, responsible for clinical programs and services.
