Enviroshake Expanding In Chatham

Enviroshake is looking to add four new factory lines in Chatham by the end of the year.

But the expansion doesn't stop there.

General manager Patrick Smith says they're looking to have eight lines in total, creating about 60 production jobs.

"We're going to go from two to four [lines] and that's now," says Smith. "And then we're going to go from four to eight sometime next year."

The company, which produces recycled roofing materials, held a job fair at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre Wednesday to screen through potential candidates.

Smith says they met with about 60-70 people in just under three hours.

"I think we're going to have to maybe do this again," says Smith. "It's been a really good turn out so far."

Enviroshake already has one production line running and Smith says another one should be ready in the next two to three months.

He says all of their planned expansions will be done within Chatham.
