In June, Constable Kenneth Miller was formally charged with sexual assault, following an incident on Chatham's Orangewood Blvd. in August 2015. He's also charged with discreditable conduct under the Police Services Act.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say Miller's hearing for the latter charge continued Thursday. It's been put over to November 30 to await documents and information from Ontario's Special Investigations Unit.

Miller is also scheduled to appear in court to answer to the sexual assault charge on August 17.

In a separate incident, another Chatham-Kent officer charged with discreditable conduct, deceit and corrupt practice will have his Police Services Act hearing via conference call next week.

Sergeant Robert Mugridge has also been suspended with pay while his matter moves forward. His conference call will take place August 15. He will also appear in a Chatham courtroom on September 19 to set a trial date for the criminal charges against him.

Mugridge was originally charged back in February 2015.
