A family in Lakeshore is lucky they weren't home when a fire completely destroyed their house late Wednesday night.
Firefighters had a difficult time extinguishing the fire due to the cold temperatures, high winds and slippery conditions.
Crews were called to a house on Valentino Dr. near Golfview Dr. at around 10pm Wednesday.
No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and a damage estimate has not been determined.
