Maroons Down Predators 9-7

The Chatham Maroons scored their third win in a row with a 9-7 victory over the Lambton Shores Predators on Saturday.

In an action packed game, the Maroons started off with a 5-3 lead in the first period and extended it to 8-5 at the end of the second. The Predators tried to catch up in the final frame with two goals, but the Maroons capped off the game with one final goal to earn the win.

Forward Devin Panzeca led the Maroons with two goals and says despite the win, his team was showing signs of fatigue after playing three games in four nights.

"It's always tough, the boys were getting tired. It was just slopply play, simple mistakes, stuff we need to clean up going forward," he says.

The Maroons will take on the LaSalle Vipers next on February 14 at 7pm.
