Hunter Ready For New Challenge

Chatham Kent's Women's Centre has a new executive director.

With more than 30 years of experience in the family violence sector, Karen Hunter takes over for Hal Bushey, whose contract expires in January.

"I think there are a lot of new programs and services that we're going to be looking at," says Hunter. "Certainly, [we're going to be] getting out into the community, talking with people, and growing to learn a bit more about the community in Chatham-Kent."

Hunter is a graduate of Niagara College with a Social Service Worker diploma. She also has a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from the University of Windsor and a diploma from the Ontario Hospitals Association in Health Care Management.
