Shorthanded Maroons Look For Revenge In Leamington

The Chatham Maroons will have revenge on their minds when they travel to Leamington tonight to face the Flyers.

Leamington won in Chatham Sunday night 4-1 in a skirmish filled affair that totalled 114 penalty minutes.

Maroons captain Ian Faubert says they'll have to keep their emotions in check tonight.

"Me and the leadership (group) we're just going to try and make sure the boys stay focused and stay disciplined, and stay in the game, and keep those passions directed in the right way," says Faubert. "They're really good at being the first guys on the puck and winning their one on one battles, so if we really focus on that and being on the big rink too, we've got to make sure we use our speed and just really outwork them."

The Maroons will be without goaltender Brendan Johnston, forward Gus Ford, and defenceman Dede Cato, who all received varying suspensions following Sunday night's loss to Leamington.

The Flyers Scott Florence was the only Leamington player suspended, and served his one game penalty during the team's 3-1 win last night in London.

You can listen to the game live on AM630 CFCO or at BlackburnNews.com. Puck drop at Highbury Canco Arena is set for 7:10pm.
