Farm Show Maxing Out Convention Centre

The third annual CK Farm Show is packing Chatham's John D. Bradley Convention Centre with the most exhibitors the showcase has seen yet.

Just over 135 vendors are filling the floor space for the two-day event.

Show Producer Stuart Galloway says exhibitors are returning and more are waiting to get in.

"They see an opportunity to talk to their customers directly," says Galloway. "We've proven that that works and therefore they want to come back and exhibit again, so we do have a waiting list for exhibitors to get into the show, but we really can't expand much more."

Farm equipment can take up a lot of floor space at the convention centre along with the number of booths snaking through the different conference rooms at the building.

"The [convention centre] we've kind of maxed it out, but that's fine. We don't want to be a big national show, we just want to be this show, for this community and hopefully people continue to support us," says Galloway, confident the show has staying power in Chatham.

"We always try to increase our marketing program and bring more people to the show every year because we're quite confident now that this show is a staple in this community and will be around for quite a while."

The CK Farm Show is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday running from 9am to 4pm each day.
