Diagnostic Imaging At Four Counties

After a year-long, $700,000 fundraising campaign, Four Counties Hospital in Newbury has a newly designed diagnostic imaging facility.

Site Director Steph Ouellet it is something like switching to a digital camera.

"We are able to take the image more quickly, we are able to have a better resolution and provide better care for our patients," he says. "To speed up the time it takes from the time the patient steps into the x-ray room to the time the procedure is done."

He says robotics in the equipment mean less lifting for staff and there is a portable unit that will travel to patient rooms.

The faster equipment also requires less radiation to produce images.
