Non-Profits Ask For Giving Tuesday

We've been through Black Friday and Cyber Monday and some local non-profits would like you to consider today "Giving Tuesday."

It is meant to kick off the giving season prior to Christmas.

The Chatham-Kent Public Library's Cassey Beauvais says donations to the library will help it service the community better.

"Every little bit helps, we are municipally funded, but it helps us to go above and beyond growing our collections and our services for the community," She says. "One of the big things we use donations such as this for is our collection, so buying new books, DVDs, children's books things like that, and sometimes we also put the money into programming supplies."

Donations are accepted on line or by dropping in to any branch of the library.
