Maroons Hammer Stars

The Chatham Maroons earned their fourth win in a row following a 6-2 victory over the St. Thomas Stars on Friday.

The Maroons ended the first period with a 3-1 lead and extended it with two more goals in the second for a 5-1 lead at the start of the third. Chatham scored once more in the final frame before the Stars scored their second and final point of the game.

Maroons forward Connor Koviak led his team with two goals and says they were thrilled with the win.

"We were able to keep the puck down in their zone for long periods of time," he says. "The way we played is the way we want to play every game."

The Maroons return to the ice on Sunday to take on the Sarnia Legionnaires at 7pm.
