Plane Crash Investigation Done

A plane crash at Chatham-Kent's municipal airport last week won't be fully investigated.

Officials with the Transportation Board of Canada (TSB) did attend following last Friday's crash, speaking with witnesses and examining the crash site.

However, investigators won't put together a full report because they don't feel much can be learned from the crash.

The TSBs mandate is to investigate incidents that improve safety.

Witnesses told BlackburnNews.com that the small plane was quite loud during take off and then heard the engine sputter before the pilot appeared to turn around to head back to the airport.

The plane eventually crash landed in a corn field about 150 yards from the airport with the pilot suffering what were described as non-life threatening injuries.
