Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.
Temperatures of 30 C (86 F) are expected starting tomorrow and lasting until Monday. Officials predict there will be some relief at night.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has also issued a Level 1 heat alert for the region.
The release from the health unit says humidex values are expected to top 40 C (104 F) on Saturday.
There is also the potential for a heat alert on Sunday.
The health unit recommends people say indoors in air conditioned areas if possible. If that isn't available to you, they recommend going somewhere like a library, or shopping mall to stay cool.
