BikeFest CK To Draw A Crowd

Upwards of 100 motorcycles will make the trek from Erieau to Chatham's Tecumseh Park, for a good cause.

Bike Fest CK is a Big Brothers Big Sisters fundraiser that helps the local chapter pay for childrens programs.

"We had 300 children, over 300 children that we provided services to last year," says Toni Martin with Big Brothers Big Sisters. "The numbers keep increasing, we want to be able to meet those needs so we have to be able to raise the money to be able to do that."

Last year's event raised $40,000.

Martin is projecting 80 to 100 motorcycles will take part, leaving Erieau at 9am and arriving at Tecumseh Park by about 10:15am.

The free event in the park runs from 11am until 11pm, and includes a wide range of vendors, as well as musical entertainment that will feature Canadian Idol finalist Jaydee Bixby and ending the evening with KISS tribute band Destroyer.
