Fewer people were looking for work in Windsor last month compared to June, but the opposite in London.
Statistics Canada's labour market survey shows Windsor's jobless rate stood at 8.7% in July, which is slightly better than the 8.9% rate in June.
Despite the improvement, Windsor still has the second worst unemployment rate of any major city in the country, better only than Montreal. The largest city in Quebec has an 8.9% rate.
In London the rate jumped by nearly a half-percent to 6.3%. It was 5.9% in June.
Canada's national unemployment rate was 6.8% in July for the sixth month in a row as the country added about 6,600 jobs.
