The Civic Holiday being celebrated across the province means a number of closures to contend with.
Municipal and other offices are closed including Service Ontario centres. There won't be any Canada Post service either for the Civic Holiday.
Garbage and recycling pick-up is also being pushed back while local library branches are closed.
Not everything is closed though as all pools are open with their regular schedules. There's a free open swim at all pools from 1:30pm to 4pm. Chatham Jaycee Pool is open from 10:30am to 4pm with free admission.
There is some transit service available as well in Chatham-Kent with the "Beach Bus" running for the long weekend free of charge. However, there isn't any other transit service available for Monday.
Arenas are closed except for camp bookings or rentals.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will be offering altered services with routine X-rays, EKG, and ultrasounds not available. Elston Pharmacy located at the Chatham Campus will also be closed as will a number of other hospital offices. The emergency departments at both the Chatham and Sydenham campuses will remain open 24/7. Essential after-hours public health services are available by calling 1-866-446-8207.
