More Homes Change Hands In May

Chatham-Kent home sales appear to be heating up a bit after cooling off in March and April.

The Chatham-Kent Association of Realtors says 133 units sold in May, up 1.5% compared to the same month last year.

That also pulled the total number of homes sold so far this year to 459, which is in line with the number of units that sold in the first five months of 2014.

The average price of homes sold last month was up 3.1% from May 2014 to just over $158,000.
