Campaign To Bring Twins Home

The friends of a Burlington couple whose twins died during childbirth in Panama are working to bring their bodies home.

Aaron Valenta and Ashley Greer were on a work-related vacation in Panama this week, when Ashley became ill and went into labour almost three months early.

Greer's friend Kori Ainsworth says Greer would've been a great mother. "She has such a nurturing demeanour about her, especially being an older sister to her younger siblings. She was elated to know they had finally conceived because they did have some difficulty at first."

The couple has returned home, but the bodies of the twins remain in Panama. A GoFundMe campaign has been started to raise $10,000. This would pay to return the twins back to Canada and to pay for a funeral.
