Over 100 people represented 60 organizations in the first ever Chatham-Kent Nonprofit Network Conference at Chatham's Bradley Centre.
Project Co-ordinator Kim Broadbent says it can be easy for all the CK organizations to become lost in the shuffle. "Chatham-Kent alone has over 540 organizations, and that's a big number to deal with. I think all the organizations are trying to say what their needs and challenges are, and what their successes are."
Keynote speaker and Rainier Valley Corps Executive Director Vu Le says nonprofit networks need to be considered an "ecosystem" of issues that need to be addressed.
The Friday conference featured speakers from the Pillar Nonprofit Network, and the Chatham-Kent Police Service.
