Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers reported 132 cases cleared and a total of $407,052 in total drugs and property recovered last year.
Dave Bakker says it is satisfying to know the program continues to be a success.
"It's great to see the numbers going up, this year we noticed a slight drop in calls but it was nice that callers continue to give us good information," he says. "For us, drug calls and property crime calls remain consistent, they increase a little bit every year."
Bakker says that while gun calls are increasing rapidly in some Crime Stoppers areas, that isn't the case in Chatham-Kent, saying the area does have a lot of hunters but they tend to be responsible gun owners.
