Hope Asks For Hockeyville Votes

Mayor Randy Hope says if the community gets behind the Kraft Hockeyville contest, nobody can beat Chatham-Kent.

Over the weekend, Chatham Memorial Arena was named one of ten finalist rinks that could win $100,000 in arena upgrades.

Hope is applauding the organizers who nominated the community. "The hard work the individuals have done to get us on the platform is great. They're the ones that realized this is something we can utilize in the arena. It's great to see those individuals raising it front and centre and saying they want to do something about it."

Hope cites other contests like the TSN Kraft Celebration Tour and Monopoly as examples of what CK can do. The first round of Hockeyville voting begins Saturday, March 21 at 11pm.
