Off-Duty Paramedic Lends A Hand

A Chatham-Kent paramedic was in the right place at the right time during a crash earlier this year.

While off-duty, Paul Tremblay was driving in Dover when a serious crash happened on Bear Line Rd. on January 9. He called 911 and supported a seriously injured victim before and after EMS arrived.

Tremblay says he snapped to attention as soon as the crash occurred. "It was all quite sudden. I was just coming back from dropping off my son at school and this all unfolded. You just go back into work mode even though you're off duty and worry about the people that need to get taken care of."

The crash saw that victim airlifted to London hospital, and three others treated for minor injuries. The original news story can be found here.
