Renovations For Leamington Salvation Army

The Leamington Salvation Army suffered nearly $10,000 in flood damage, but it couldn't have happened at a better time.

Captain Corey Vincent says a pipe burst, covering the floor with three inches of water. "We were getting ready to move forward with the renovation scheme anyway. Even though it was a shock and a big mess to clean up, it couldn't have happened at a better time."

The $90,000 renovation includes replacing all windows, doors, painting the building and improving services in the chapel area.

Vincent says none of the public donations to the kettle campaign will be used for the capital work. He says all of that money is reserved for their food bank and emergency shelter services.
