PC Leadership Vote Eligibility Deadline

As the deadline to be eligible to vote for Ontario PC leadership approaches, the three candidates continue to campaign.

MPP's Monte McNaughton, Christine Elliott and MP Patrick Brown are the remaining candidates running.

University of Windsor Poli Sci Professor Lydia Miljan says a leadership race is characterized by the daily grind to pull in votes. "It's just a lot of ground work, a lot of lining people up. Getting resources, getting volunteers out there to do that hard work and to find areas where you can build support.

Chatham-Kent-Essex MPP Rick Nicholls has opted to throw his support behind Patrick Brown, and not fellow southern Ontario MPP Monte McNaughton. Miljan adds she isn't surprised, saying it's about backing who you want to be your boss, not who your "buddy" is.

The deadline to apply to vote for the Ontario PC Leadership is today.
