Extreme Cold Warning In Effect

Environment Canada has issued another extreme cold warning for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent as temperatures are expected to drop tonight.

Meteorologists predict -20 C (-4 F) Wednesday night into Thursday morning with strong winds producing wind chills around -30 C (-22 F).

They say residents can expect little improvement during the day Thursday with temperatures only getting a few degrees higher and winds becoming stronger.

"Very cold wind chill values" should stick around through Friday and the cold should ease up somewhat on Saturday.

Environment Canada is warning the public to keep an eye out for hypothermia and frostbite.
