This year's budget decision will see taxes left untouched in 2015.
BlackburnNews.com asked Chatham-Kent residents about the budget decision. Many agreed paying a little extra was worth getting infrastructure taken care of.
"I think we need more infrastructure [spending], especially in Bothwell, it's not that good," says Bothwell's Thelma Baverscock. "You should see my friend's road. It's very, very rough, and it's in town."
Wayne Crosby of Dresden agrees, adding his town has the same problem. "There's a lot of holes and that, especially on the main street. It needs to be repaved."
The Budget Committee agreed to forgo infrastructure principal and interest payments for 2015, saving $396,000 this year.
