CK Farm Show Grows

The 2nd annual Chatham-Kent Farm Show is seeing a bump in attendance over its first year with an estimated 3,000 visitors over the two-day event in Chatham.

Show Producer Stuart Galloway says there were close to 400 more visitors than last year, but he didn't know what to expect heading into the second year.

"We didn't know if the farm community saw real value in the show last year or if they were just coming out of intrigue, but our attendance is up," says Galloway.

He says there were 120 vendors at the show, 20 more than the first year. And while the show has grown about as much as the John D. Bradley Convention Centre can accommodate, Galloway isn't looking to move.

"There's nowhere to go really, I mean we started this as a central hub for the farming community and there's no other facility in this city that I'm aware of," says Galloway. "This is a great facility. It's wonderful, I'm not looking to go anywhere at all."

The third annual show is already planned for the same time next year.
