Residents in Lighthouse Cove are working together in hopes of seeing road and septic improvements.
Lakeshore Mayor Tom Bain says there's been a development freeze on property in the area because the province wants to see road upgrades, sanitary sewers and a plant built, but has never given Lakeshore enough funding for such a project.
"Residents along there have now formed an association and are working with our staff (at the Town of Lakeshore) on getting the project moved forward," explains Bain. "Especially on meeting provincial standards."
The mayor says this project has been about 20 years in the making, so he hopes it's finally taking steps forward.
