Tecumseh Mayor Gary McNamara wants to stop new community mailboxes from being placed on municipal property.
It's the latest in an effort to show Canada Post that Tecumseh wants a public forum on its decision to cancel door-to-door delivery.
The mayor's not sure it's legally possible just yet, but it's an issue he'll be discussing at today's South Shores Mayors of Ontario meeting in Chatham. "This is coming to their neighbourhood soon. So what are their positions, and what are we willing to do as maybe a coalition of mayors?"
McNamara's also speaking to the Eastern Ontario Warden's Caucus tomorrow, where he says he's going to make a point of discussing door-to-door mail delivery.
