Meanwhile, about 5,000 Hydro One customers are without power in an area stretching from Glencoe to Tilbury, with restoration estimated to be about 5pm.

Also, Entegrus is reporting most of the outages in Ridgetown, Merlin, Wallaceburg and Chatham have been restored. An earlier outage in Bothwell has been fixed.

Chatham-Kent OPP is confirming Hwy. 40 is closed north of Chatham, between Greenvalley and Cedar Hedge Line, due to downed power lines. It's unclear how long the road will be closed.

Power has been restored to the over 1,300 Hydro One customers in Kingsville. The outage affected the areas of Division Rd. N and Main St. E, stretching east to Union Ave. and north to Road 4 W.
