Police Survey Highlights B&Es

Chatham-Kent residents continue to be concerned about the level of break and enter crimes and Police Chief Dennis Poole says rates have been high but he believes police are starting to make progress.

“We have certainly had some successes over the last couple of years now with our chronic offender program,” he says. “The rate of break and enters has been declining drastically over the last year or two.”

The police service recently conducted a public survey to provide information for updating its business plan.

It showed most people don’t want service cuts and especially in the areas of youth and drug enforcement.
