Artists and residents gather at an art studio on Pelissier St. in Windsor to paint in order to raise awareness for water and environmental issues in the Essex-Kent region.

Inspiring Conversations About Water

A local artist is hoping to start a conversation about water preservation through creating a collection of paintings done by the community.

The Windsor to Walpole to Pelee; Watershed Narratives project explores the water quality within the Great Lakes.

Artist Sherry Campeau is inviting people throughout the community to take part in the project. “We’re doing an ink splash process where they use water as a vehicle to express artistically or creatively their thoughts and then they write down their thoughts.”

At the end of the process Campeau hopes to receive a grant to put together an installation or book with all of the submissions.
