Thamesville native Dane Fox is the first player in the OHL to score 50 goals for the 2013/14 season.

The Erie Otters player brought his goal total up to 51 in 43 games after facing off against the Windsor Spitfires on Sunday. Fox scored three goals, helping the Otters blank the Spits 9-0.

Fox has became the second player in Erie Otters history to score 50 goals in a season and is just two goals away from tying the Otters’ single season record for goals scored, which is set at 53.

Fox recently signed with the Vancouver Canucks.
