Colby To Continue Teaching

Now that his position as medical officer of health is official, Dr. David Colby says he’s more dedicated than ever to improving the well-being of Chatham-Kent.

“The question is, why wasn’t I the MOH sooner?” Says Colby, who had been in the acting position for the last eight years. “If there’s ever a car that’s been test driven, that’d be me. So they know what they’re getting and what I’m capable of.”

Colby says his contract allows for him to continue teaching at Western University in London, but says he’ll be more involved in the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit’s day-to-day operations.

And while he says he’s keeping his home in Denfield, Colby plans to spend more time at his cottage in Rondeau Provincial Park.
