GFO: Stripe Rust Research

Grain Farmers of Ontario would like to let producers know about a research project being conducted on stripe rust.

Listen here:

Following the high severity of stripe rust in the wheat fields in south-western Ontario recently, the University of Guelph Wheat Breeding Program is undertaking a new research project to study the distribution of different races of rust diseases, and stripe rust in particular across Ontario. Researchers require the collection of as many rust samples as possible from across Ontario.

Your assistance in collecting samples is very important to the researchers and is much appreciated.

For details on how to collect samples and where to submit them, go to www.ontariograinfarmer.ca and search stripe rust samples.

A reminder: Grain Farmers of Ontario is hosting a Research Tour day at C&M Seeds and the Elora Research station on July 16 to showcase research projects funded by Grain Farmers of
Ontario.
