Dairy XPO In Stratford Ready For Day 2

The first day of the Canadian Dairy XPO in Stratford attracted some attention.

350 exhibitors set up shop and technology is taking centre stage.

Jordan Underhill is the GM & Founder of the XPO.

“It’s an exciting time for the Canadian dairy industry. Lots of youth involved, lots of youth engaged. They’re looking to farm in a different way and innovation and robotics, that all helps them do what they want to do in their personal life and also manage their operation that much better,” said Underhill.

Panels are also discussing “progressive dairy youth” and “measuring inputs for maximum production.”

“If you’re looking for innovation, if you’re looking for continued education, if you’re looking for social networking, it’s all here under one roof,” said Underhill. “And when you get like minded people together, you get a lot of energy. And we saw in the stats last year that about 50 percent of the 16,000 people that come to the show are under the age of 35 and that’s exciting for the sector.”

The Canadian Dairy XPO is at the Rotary Complex in Stratford and is on until 4:00 p.m. Thursday.
