Avian Influenza Spread In U.S. A Wildcard

The possible further spread of Avian Influenza to key U.S. chicken production areas is a major wild card for the poultry industry outlook in the second half of this year.

That’s according to Rabobank.┬áThe bank says the poultry industry outlook for the rest of this year and into 2016 is bullish.┬áThe bank’s economists figure feed prices will remain low and global breeding stock supply will be very low in regions with A-I related import restrictions such as China and South East Asia.

It’s Poultry Quarterly outlook calls for the U-S poultry industry to post strong margins despite avian influenza trade bans.
