Three Midwestern Ontario Holstein breeders have been named 2013 Master Breeders by Holstein Canada.
They are among the nine Ontario breeders getting plaques this year.
A total of 20 Holstein breeders from across the country will be honoured with their Master Breeders designation at the National Holstein Convention in Quebec in April.
The Midwestern Ontario recipients are Brian and Crystal Betts and Family of Flesherton, Elgin and Joan Craig and Family of Arthur, and Hans, Malis, Marco, Sandra and Martina Pfister of Mitchell.
The other 2013 Master Breeders from Ontario include Rick Fieldhouse of Ariss, Valerie and Shayne Jones of Woodstock, Bill and Eleanor McIntosh of Embro, Steve Vandendool of Woodstock and Lloyd B. Martin of St. Jacobs.
Holstein Canada Master Breeders are recognised for breeding balanced cattle with high production, outstanding conformation, great reproduction, health and longevity.
